""I have a Plextor TV capture box on my PC so I can watch cable channels while working on the computer.

Two nights ago I followed a basketball game online (Gametracker)in one window while watching another game on ESPN in another window while reading e-mail in another.

I couldn't have done this realistically with my previous 17" monitor.

Image & picture quality are good, although the Plextor output is not high enough resolution for full screen TV.

The result is I can multiplex much better with the Acer P221Wd ."

" A good contrast ratio and response time are important as I am a gamer and I really wanted a 22'' wide screen compared to my old 19'' standard LCD. Acer P221Wd's picture is just AMAZING and is a perfect fit for my new 8800GT SuperClocked. More then enough room to run two IE windows next to each other. Just make sure you have a graphics card that can display the native 1680x1050 resolution or the picture will not look right. The only thing I would give low marks to is the limited venting on the back of the monitor. Even LCD screens get warm and heat KILLS electronics so the better the venting the cooler it runs. I would have liked to see more venting in the back."

"Monitor was quick and easy to set up. Using 1680x1050 and it looks great. I looked at a lot of different monitors and this was the best deal for a 22 inch monitor I could find. Also like the P221W as it does not include speakers. Have had good luck with all of Acer products and this one is super. I would recommend the P221W to family and friends. "
