"I bought this monitor for my wife to use in its portrait mode. Unlike most other wide screen monitors on the market, this LCD has the ability to pivot 90 degrees changing its landscape aspect ratio to a portrait aspect ratio.
The display looks bright and sharp in both orientations.
The change from one orientation to the other requires a bit of user input, either by hitting a key-combination or by choosing the desired rotation setting from a menu. "

"Before I bought Acer B223W , I looked at the Samsung T220 and an LG (don't remember the model #). While the Samsung has impressive stats, they all seemed pretty close to me. I'm a casual media user (no gaming yet, play movies, view pics, etc). The stand for this monitor is probably the best you can find without spending the extra $$ for a vesa mount. It's very stable and adjustable. "

"Acer B223W Widescreen LCD Monitor
Pros: Supports full rotation (tilt/swivel/rotate). Screen rotation is a big win in many situations, especially reading PDFs. Good color reproduction, contrast ratio, etc. No dead pixels on mine.
Cons: You can't change inputs from DVI to VGI with a single button press; you have to use the menu. This is a bit annoying, as I was going to use it as a console monitor for my second machine (a server), but it's not worth the 6 button presses it takes every time I want to switch."
